Compass Compressions Ownership Group Named Prairies Finalist for Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Of The Year 2011

John Forgeron, Phil Ness and Scott Douglas, the ownership group at Compass Compression Services Ltd. have been named Prairie finalists in the Energy Services category for the Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Of The Year 2011 Awards.  Finalists are chosen based on their vision, leadership, financial success and social responsibility.

"Entrepreneurs have the unique ability to turn ideas into market-leading companies. But they don't grow by standing still — they take risks, innovate, and invest," says David Boomer, Prairies Director of Entrepreneur Of The Year. "By showing tremendous focus and strength of character, entrepreneurs are able to turn challenges into opportunities and take their businesses to the next level."

“We are delighted to be finalists for this award,” says the Compass Compression Ownership Group (John Forgeron, Phil Ness and Scott Douglas).  “We believe that if you surround yourself with capable people who share your values you create the best result.  Our team is made up of individuals with a diverse range of skill and ability and it is their intense effort on a daily basis that makes Compass Compression successful.”

Compass has come a long way, in a short time, from packaging low-horsepower screw compressor packages to offering one of the most comprehensive compression offerings in the industry
